This was kind of a last minute dessert for me, but it turned out good anyway. Luckily it was pretty easy. It might have been the berries I had, but it wasn't as sweet as I like. Next time I'd put more sugar in the filling. Overall, I'd say it was a success! Hopefully next time I'll be more on top of things though. You can find the recipe here or here and see what others have done at TWD.
I think I would add a bit more sugar next time, too. Your galette looks beautiful…glad you got it done!!
ReplyDeleteIt makes me want to get a fork out and start picking at all those berries in the middle...
ReplyDeleteI loved how easy this was (and adaptable).
This one came together very quickly. Yours looks great, but I am with you on the filling.
ReplyDeleteIt looks delicious! I loved how fast it came together too! I know what you mean about the sweetness. I saw some people talking about it on the TWD page and added some extra sugar to mine. I still would have been okay to have it even sweeter, but I might have a problem. :)
ReplyDeleteThe nice thing about this recipe is that you can do it last-minute and it still looks perfect! We played around a bit with our fillings and I think that helped.

ReplyDeleteThe recipes in this book have been on the too sweet side for me so I cut the sugar way down - mistake! This one could have used more. Oh well. Your galette looks lucious as does your potato zucchini (or was it zucchini potato!)frittata!
ReplyDeleteLovely berry galette.... that unfortunately is a bit too tart!... Luckily to the second one I've added some nectarine to the berries and the "problem" was solved.
ReplyDeleteA winner.
